PC FSearcher

The Windows search tool becomes handy when wanting to look for a certain file or folder on the hard disk or network share. The problem is that this tool uses the Windows Indexing service, which takes up a lot of system resources. Stopping the service will make the search process much slower.

This Windows program allows you to search for any kind of file or folder in very little time, even without using an indexing service.

The portable version of the application does not need installing and it's enough to run the executable file located in the program's archive. When running it, one will just need to type a part of the file's name or extension and click on the Search symbol. The desired file will be found in no time.

PC FSearcher does not use any indexing services, but has an efficient search process. Optionally, the user can select the partition where the desired file is located and also define a size and date range, for narrowing search results.

Besides searching for files and folders, PC FSearcher can also compare any two folders, which is useful in case the user has a working folder and a backup one. By using this feature, he will know if there are modified files in one of the two folders.
